Hand operated machine Made in Britain. A series of ratcheted brass rollers and needles, neatly fold and pleat paper. Thread holds the pleats in place and allows them to be pulled up to whatever tightness is desired.

Repeated elements of this visual dialogue are elongated into new versions using lightweight transparent papers. Drawings of ink and graphite, are tightly pleated and compressed. New vistas of pilgrimages and journeys are the result.
